Comment: I very much like the idea and some of the information in this book. HOwever, I would have liked to see more pictures. COnsidering I bought this book because I don't live in Maui and can't go visit all the places before the wedding, It woulod have been good to picture them.

Comment: Though the author organized the guide into helpful categories such as beach or garden ceremony sites, she only includes a handful in each category and with sketchy details at best. As far as locations go, this book is far from comprehensive and I was able to come up with most of the information doing my own internet searches. There is even a section on private estates, but she doesn't mention a single site! Additionally there is a small section of color photos at the end that are really, really unhelpful. Better would be to include black/white photos withing the sections about each site. It's not as if there wasn't room-each site has two dedicated pages, yet hardly ever does the author actually use the full space alloted.

Maybe I am approaching this book the wrong way. I am trying to plan a DIY wedding in Maui and I expected more than just a few guidelines and suggestions. If you are going to hire a wedding planner, then this book will help you make more informed choices, but otherwise I might skip it.

Comment: This book is great if you are looking for a location to have your Hawaiian wedding. It gives a 1-2 page description of locations with useful information--websites are also provided. This guide also provides photographers names, musicians, planners, and recommended vendors. A lot of this information I found on the internet previously, but still found this guide to be useful.

Comment: This gave me everything I needed to plan my Hawaii destination wedding. Book is heavily concentrated on Maui, but with plenty of resources on Kauai and Lanai. It doesn't have a section on coordinators - probably because the author is a coordinator.
