Summary: Better than all of the MS Visual Studio tools combined
Comment: Delphi 5 is an excellent tool to create any imaginable Windows software. It has the power of C++ and it's as easy as Visual Basic, but it's much faster, more reliable and stable and your apps are easy to deploy, due that you can create standalone executables.

It's a shame that people knowing the mediocrity of Microsoft are still using their unreliable tools. Visual Basic is aging rapidly and Delphi is the new king. Also you will be able to move your apps from Windows to Linux without doing major changes with the new Delphi (Kylix)

Summary: Excellent Windows Development Tool
Comment: I written serious COM+ objects in Delphi for Active Server Page based web sites. Beats VB and has the strength of Visual C++. Soon to be ported to Linux and maybe Sun Solaris or IBM 6000 unix OS.
