Summary: The usage ease
Comment: I tested the product on the grass before the winter 'settled in.' It performed well, as I had expected it to. I can't wait to begin using it weekly beginning in late April 2009. I'm looking forward to not being tired any more after trimming the edges. Previously, I had used a weed whacker that cleared way too much. As a result, I would only use it once a month. Then, I discovered a 'regular' garden scissor would do the job. But, it was tiring after bending down for about half an hour. I was hoping that a similar product to the Fiskars long handle swivel grass shears existed and my wishes were answered.

Summary: Worst packing I have ever seen.
Comment: I hate giving negative reviews and the product itself seems okay. We purchased two of these as Christmas gifts. They came super fast - no complaints there, but I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the box on my porch. First, whoever taped it shut did a horrid job. The tape was barely stuck to the box and was pulled up and the box was gaping open. Then, the items were just tossed together inside the box with no packing underneath them to cushion them on the bottom, but tons of weird paper just piled loosely on top. I was rather surprised they weren't damaged or even scratched from just being dumped into the box together with no packing between them or under them. I plan to keep them because by some luck, they don't appear damaged. I'm just sort of stunned that a company who does business selling on-line would have such awful packing.

We're thinking of ordering one of these for ourselves, but will do it with another seller.

Summary: Long handled grass shears
Comment: Shears are like I expected, had some 40 years ago. These new ones are much lighter and easier to use, and the "head swivel" feature is must useful. Long tough strands of grass tend to cause the shears to twist sideways and NOT get cut.

Other than that, I can cut the long grass along the fence line from my ATV, without getting out and walking. I highly recommend these grass shears.
