Comment: This is a good quality gun lock that uses a combination instead of a key, which is useful if you don't want to have to carry around a bunch of keys. The downside is that it's slightly bulkier than the key version. It is sometimes hard to spin just one row without bumping the others, but I find if you first spin the middle one to the proper number, then the side ones, its easy to avoid.

Comment: Surfed for a long time and was at a huge gun show recently, everyone was impressed with the combination trigger lock. A must if you do not want to fumble trying to find the correct key.

Comment: My local gun store gives out free gun locks with every firearm purchase. But it is the kind with a key.

I go out and buy a master trigger lock everytime I get a new firearm. Why? No key needed, I program my own code and it is easy to use! I only wish that Amazon would sell both sizes the one with a shorter stem for pistols so that it can fit into my smaller pistol boxes.

I don't own for "self protection" and you can't put this lock on loaded!
If you need one for "self protection/home defense" then get a gun safe or lock box with biometric combinations. But those are expensive.
