Product Description
POKÉMON GOLD offers another game for fans of the popular Pokémon characters, and the list of features is almost overwhelming. Explore a world with more than 250 Pokémon! The game keeps track of the time via an internal clock, and some Pokémon will only come out during certain times of the day, which means you will quite literally have to get up early in the morning to find them all. Also new to POKÉMON GOLD is Pokémon breeding. Youve heard of Pikachu, but have you heard of Pichu? The PokeGear adds a more streamlined interface for an even greater RPG experience. As in the past games, link up with a friend, rival, or fellow trainer to trade or battle Pokémon. You can link up to your previous version of POKÉMON RED or BLUE or YELLOW to bring all of your favorite Pokémon into the new game. This version of the game includes Pokémon found only in POKÉMON GOLD

    Summary: My son LOVES it!!
Comment: Great game!! My son plays it all the time, thank god it saves so he can turn it off at night. He had one prior to this one and it stoped saving the game. He spent his allowance on one from Recycled Games and this one saves everytime. It's hard to find them in great shape with the 'save game' still working since it's not made new anymore. Best money he ever spent, so far anyway... he's only 7. :)

    Summary: good as gold!
Comment: pokemon gold is a great game, and according to the pokemon company it and silver are the third best game made by them! this is one of the only games that allows johto region pokemon and lets you get ho-oh, lugia, and celebi without an action replay or game shark. you cal also catch all three legendary dogs (Raikou, suicune, and entei) in the game. it is challenging but not impossible, and you are allowed to have a pokegear. it is like a pokenav off of emerald but better because it has music and other cool stuff on it.
the actual gameplay is not boring unlike some of the next generation games like diamond and pearl. you travel across johto and beat team rocket and gather 8 gym badges, then you can go to kanto and get 8 gym badges. then you challenge the pokemon leauge and this time you dont face gary, lance is the champ. the starters are rare aand powerful, totodile, chikorita, and cynaquil. the rival character is a theif who stole from professor elm (the pokemon that is better than yours ).
the graphics are ok for a gameboy color, and the pokemon are cool. the color isnt top of the line but it is still decent and dont let that fact stray you from purchasing this item. the music is cool to me, and you have a radio to play awesome tunes. so all in all this game is literally "Good as Gold".

Summary: Yet another installment in the Pokemon series.
Comment: I won't bother saying what is fun about Pokemon for obvious reasons. I will try and sum up why this is different than the previous ones. There are many new Pokemon added, and this is before the new Pokemon get stupid and unimaginative like in future versions. There's a whole new storyline and character set. The graphics are by far the best in the series so far. The sound/music is still lackluster. The only thing really holding the game back at all is the feeling that they only made it to make some money. This is probably the last game in the series before it converts completely into the "make the game and cash in" stage. The "cash in" stage lasts until Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, the first original ones since, well, Gold and Silver.

    Summary: Pokemon Gold
Comment: It's a fun game to own and play along with it's counterpart,Pokemon Silver. Only certain aspects of game play are negatives such as the time aspect and daily events as well as having to chase the legendary pokemon unlike in Pokemon Red and Blue. Missing certain events and having to wait literally a week sometimes to return to them is slightly annoying as is having to capture certain pokemon during specific times of day as they are in some cases specifically nocturnal or their percent in a given area is extremely low. Other than these things the game plays very well and the improvement to color from just a plain solid red or blue color is great. Seeing each pokemon in their given coloration is really nice. The added new types and moves are also a plus. Overall a well worth buy for a Pokemon fan.

Summary: The BEST Pokemon Game Ever!
Comment: This game rocks and the same goes for Silver and Crystal. I wish I had not traded off my copies at GameStop, but I also hear the batteries in the old cartridges are dying. Come on , you remade Red & Green/Blue, now just give us a Gold/Silver remake instead of junk like Pokemon Ranger 49.
