Summary: Great mag, great value, but note the delivery issue
Comment: This is an amazing deal on Daily Variety. I have done a lot of looking, and this is by far the cheapest offer I could find. The magazine itself is worth its weight in gold for any actor, writer, producer, or even just for any showbiz fan.
You should know, though, that the delivery on this is not super timely. At least it's not for me -- I receive each issue a day late, so it gets delivered to me Tuesday through Saturday, receiving Monday's issue on Tuesday and so on. This is a little annoying, and I don't know if this is the case for everyone outside of Los Angeles who gets Variety everywhere, or if it is unique to this subscription. Or maybe it's just me. In any case, I thought it was worth noting here for anyone interested, since I had a heck of a time getting ahold of anyone on the phone to ask about delivery.
Great value and great reading if you don't mind your news potentially being a day late (and of course you can always read the online version the day of!)

Comment: Yes, Variety is great. That's a given. It's the gold standard in entertainment industry reporting.
But this price is insane. I get "special renewal prices" from Variety at $259. I read the Amazon listing 10 times to make sure I understood it right. I was sure that this was for half a hear or for weekly Variety, but it's not. It's the full 252 issue subscription. Amazon's price is amazing. I don't mean to sound like a commercial, but I love a good deal!
And, of coarse, Variety is a must for anyone in, or wanting into, the entertainment business. Thanks to Amazon, it's also affordable.
