Customer Rating: Summary: Had this for 10 years - love it! Comment: I purchased this ramp a little over 10 years ago when I bought an SUV and did not want to lift my elderly 65 lb dog into the rear. He caught on right away and this worked so well he never missed his car. I got 2 puppies 8 years ago and still have the SUVs - didn't want to damage their puppy legs so have used this right along every single day into their older years! It has held up remarkably well and I can easily fold it and stow it in the back when it is not being used.
This has probably been the only item I have ever used on a daily basis and still have as much need as I had the first day I bought it! I have recommended this item to friends and they seem to think a ramp is ramp. Some of their ramps are too steep (short) for an SUV - some are too narrow for our 65 lb chows, and some get either slippery in the rain or hot in the summer. And some are hard to put away. This ramp doesn't have any of those limitations. I am pleased with this purchase and hope you will be too. And FYI - I paid about the same price 10 years ago!
Customer Rating: Summary: Petstep is a great product Comment: Sturdy yet lightweight and easy to use. Can set it up in seconds and from its construction will last many years. The ramp is skid resistant so the dogs have an easy time going up and down without slipping. Both dogs were on it at the same time adding up to close to 300 pounds and it supported the weight with no problem. One minor problem is if your not careful you can pinch your fingers in the hinge end as it can fold quickly as I found out.
Customer Rating: Summary: Dog ramp Comment: The ramp is very well made, it works great for my 100+ pound 12 yr old lab. It is quite large and heavy, so if your old like your dog it made not be the best choice and watch your fingers!
Customer Rating: Summary: Used as "boarding ramp." Comment: I am pleased with the petstep, though I don't think I'd trust it to the advertized 500 pound rating. Nonetheless, we use the ramp as a boarding ramp aboard our sailboat. It works nicely for this purpose. I did think the ramp came with a center locking device, however, such was not the case.
