Summary: Made better the second time
Comment: The 18" version I bought over ten years ago and was very satisfied with it. This 16" rendition improves on the earlier for only one reason: the foot-extensions can securely be fastened to the erector pole, unlike the older version which had a tendency to come apart after a few years. One other problem, though hardly worth mentioning, is the tilt adjustment has a tendecy to weaken. This, all in all, is a fine product with a great price!

Summary: Broke with minimal use
Comment: The fan no longer oscillates completely, turns half way and makes clicking sound; found a small broken piece of plastic on the floor after minimal use (around 100 hours); fan motor still works; I suppose I could walk back and forth in front of it instead.

Summary: Fair for the price
Comment: This fan is just ok. I found the assembly confusing. The fan is top heavy. It could easily be knocked over. Also, the fan part itself tilts up and down, but since it is so heavy, it occasionally will drop down if bumped slightly. It makes an odd noise when it osculates. This is an ok product for the price.

Summary: arrived with missing pieces
Comment: This would have been a great buy but it arrived with missing pieces.
All I got was the crossbars for the feet and the fan part for the top.
There was no middle part or neck, if you will.
I guess these companies figure it's too much trouble to send back so I won't because it is, and I have a PVC pole I"m going to use with it's own feet.
But it was really a drag to not have the part that makes it stand up in the box.

Summary: Quality. cheap product
Comment: The fan was easily put together; It took about 15 minutes on my first try and 5 minutes with a second fan I purchased. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver and some common sense. The are surprisingly sturdy and solid even though it's made from some plastic held together by a few screws. It does it's job pretty effectively too. I have an 850 sq. ft apartment and it kept it nice and cool. Honestly, I don't think I'm ever going to buy an oscilating fan from anybody else as I don't think I could find as great quality of product as this is for as cheap a price. It's a great bargain.
