Comment: If you have a problem with this product, Kaz will NOT respond to your requests for help, even if you are within the warrenty. They have a lousy customer service department. This heating pad would be wonderful if it worked. Mine quit 10 months into a 5year warrenty. I cannot get any help from them so I'm out over $30.00 and need to buy another heating pad...it will NOT be a Kaz! I too wanted to give it a zero rating but couldn't.

Comment: Just wanted to let you know that there are ones that work out there. I have had this model for over 4 years now and use on a daily basis. Just in the past month the lower 2 settings stopped working, but other than that this has been the best heating pad I've used. Glad I found a replacement for it.

Comment: best heating pad on the market. this is the only heating pad that does not have a slip on cover. so it doesn't get all bunched up. it is washable.

Comment: Even though I purchased it from a local store, I have this exact heating pad. I got it about 3 years ago, and I've been using it almost nightly to warm my icicle feet under the covers of my bed ever since.

I don't understand how I got the only non-defective Kaz/SoftHeat heating pad ever made. I don't think that's really possible. Some of the Kaz/SoftHeat products do work. Mine is proof. Given all the 1 star reviews, I was compelled to write a quick review to say, "Hey... These DO work."

Regarding auto-shutoff... For me, the auto-shutoff is important because, let's face it, it's a little sketch to shove an electrical heat source under the covers of your bed and then fall asleep. It hasn't killed me yet! :-)

Regarding the washable cover... I don't really care what it looks like when washed. Only my feet see it. :-)

Summary: Don't waste your money
Comment: I ignored the negative reviews because I had one of these heating pads for a couple of years before it quit working. This time it lasted about two weeks, a total waste of money. I won't make that mistake again.
