    Summary: The One and Only
Comment: If you already know what the Vibra-Slap is, you also know it is THE ONLY modern replacement for the jawbone worth having. As LP puts it on their website, it is probably the most recorded sound effect in history. In the case of standard effects like this, it actually makes the most sense to buy the standard sound. You want the effect of the effect, so to speak, not for people to focus on the effect because it sounds different.

If you don't know what the Vibra-Slap is, it's kind of hard to describe. The best I can do is that it produces a really hard, fast rattle sound with a fast attack and fast decay. It's done by holding it as illustrated in the product picture and striking the ball down into your hand. That makes the upper part vibrate rapidly. The wooden bell-shaped upper contains a clapper that produces the rattle. Once you hear it, you'll realize that you've heard it in countless recordings, movies, and TV shows. Believe it or not, this was designed to replace the use of a donkey jawbone with loose teeth to produce the same effect!

The Vibra-Slap comes in 3 slightly differing versions, two wood and one metal. This is the most common one.
