Customer Rating: Summary: You Will be Pleased Comment: I needed a space heater for a 650 sq ft room where I spend most of my day. I placed this heater behind my desk about 4 feet from where I work and under a window. I am pleasantly warm and during the day the room even warms nicely. Don't expect this heater to be a room heater. It is meant to warm objects near it and this it does wonderfully. I keep the main furnace thermostat about 4 degrees less than the heater thermostat and the main furnace only kicks off when I shut off the space heater at night. I highly recommend the Holmes Quartz heater for those who are fairly stationary during those cold days, but want to be warm without constantly running the main house furnace/heating system.
Customer Rating: Summary: great investment Comment: I did a search on the web before making the purchase. This one is ranked the highest for a small room heating needs. I use this for my office which has a ridiculous A/C system. The heater works vey well and meet all my expectations: small, quiet, quick, automatic off when reaching the target tempreture, and with a decent design! Will recommend to all my friends.
Customer Rating: Summary: Heater Comment: I was disappointed with this heater. First, the fan made an awful sound unless I tipped it forward. The fan had to be directed toward you to feel the heat. I sent it back for a refund.
Customer Rating: Summary: Too noisy. Returned it. Comment: I bought this to use in my office and bedroom at night. The heat is very nice and warm. But when it turns on, the noise is very loud and disturbs me while working and wakes me up when sleeping. It's also fairly noisy during operation, but definitely that start-up is louder than I want to deal with. So I returned them today.
Customer Rating: Summary: Reasonably quiet, good heat for a small area only Comment: This heater works well in a small area like a den or a small bedroom, but in my 14 x 14 kitchen it just can't put out enough heat to make a big difference. It is better as a heater to put near your feet in a chilly room or in a room that needs a "boost". But a grat deal for the money, and I'd buy another if I needed a space heater for another small room. Not too noisy and I feel better knowing it will shut off if it tips over.
