Comment: I was lucky and had gotten out the nits before this comb arrived BUT I am prepared to next time (which I hope never happens again!). The grooves carved into the tines probably are more effective in snagging nits than the smooth tines on combs (that may slide over nits) sold in drugstores.

Comment: Ditto to all the other 5-star reviews... + I can just add that this comb picks out lice that are so tiny they're almost invisible to the naked eye. It's really impressive. For thick hair, make sure to condition and de-tangle the hair very well first. My daughter has a carpet on head, and it worked for her.

Summary: YES, this is the BEST comb!
Comment: My children had lice and I eliminated them with this comb, hair conditioner and oils. Other parents tried other methods, but I have found that it is all in the comb and being compulsive about getting out every last nit.

To make it easier to get the comb through the hair, you must deal with untangled hair first. Brush out the hair if need be. Then apply generous amounts of hair conditioner, leave it in about 20 minutes to slow down the lice. Then, comb out the hair until it is very smooth. Some lice might come out at this point, so do this in the bathroom near the sink or tub. Then, use the comb to get all the tiny nymphs and eggs. You will have to be methodical, combing every tiny inch of your child's head and you will need to have hot water nearby to rinse the comb as you go. Do this 2 to 3 times a day for 2 to 3 days and you should be rid of the lice on your kid's head. (Of course, there's the other stuff that has to be done around the house to get rid of the lice as well...

Comment: My kids were infested for a month and a half. I tried everything, the shampoo, the olive oil, picking everything out by hand. I ordered this comb out of desperation. It worked! We were lice free inside a week. This was over a year ago. Last week my kids came home with lice again. Once again we are lice free, no shampoo, no olive oil, no nothing. Im online to buy another one for my mother who would like her own as she takes care of the kids during the day. I highly recommend this comb. My husband commented a couple days ago, that we could've paid a hundred dollars for this comb and it still would've been worth it.

Summary: Who wants to write a review about a Lice comb??
Comment: I'm an OLD RN and grandma and a Nit Free Terminator now! I never had to deal with lice in my family before. My grand-daughter had lice her other grandma said...can't go to day care. Who's afraid of lice enough to not take care of a grandkid...not me? On weekly visits I would treat her with over the counter non toxic treatments and comb and comb with the enclosed combs and see no nits (maybe I am blind)...and occasionally a few lice. Her main caregiver was combing her 2X a day pulling nits off when she wasn't here. All reported that nothing had been found for over a week. But I was paranoid...and bought this new Nit comb called Nit Free Terminator. Yesterday she visited. I decided to try it out...OMG!! I stopped counting at 50 adult lice!! This comb pulled out lice I couldn't see on her head!! OKAY...so I am paranoid...but at least I feel a bit better knowing I have the Nit Free comb. I'm buying a few more to give to the other grandmas!! Won't they all be happy??
