Summary: The gel version is better.
Comment: The first few days when I use this lotion, I can feel that my skin is very moisturized; however, my skin will start having problems after a few weeks-I will have little white bumps randomly popping up all over my face. I have tried the gel version and like it much, much more even though my skin is not considered oily at all (I'm a Type 2 Clinique person). Also, the Type 2 toner (Can't remember what it's called, but it's the purple one) can be very oil-stripping after a while. I actually use the mild clarifying lotion, which produces better results (even though I don't have sensitive skin). When I used to use Clinique, I realized after a while that it really was meant to be a 3-in-1 treatment. You have to use the face wash with the toner and the moisturizer to achieve the most benefits. The bar soap is the best (I use the mild version)--much better than the liquid soap, which makes my upper eyelids itch like no other. I have stopped using Clinique because I realize there are other, better alternatives. Department-store brands are not always worth the price you pay. A lot of times you can achieve the same results with store-brands as well (For example, I have switched to Purpose facewash and Dove sensitive skin lotion)
