Summary: Solid Construction, Poor Packaging, Minor hardware glitch
Comment: The PDR box was damaged somewhere in shipping. One end (the end with the barcode needed for the rebate) was missing and the mounting screws were loose inside the box and on my front porch. Normally, I simply return the box, but time constraints led me to keep the remaining intact contents. The hardware that remained in the box was loose, but undamaged and adequate (see below) for mounting my TV.
PDR customer service was very responsive and offered to send out additional hardware if I needed, but I declined. PDR indicated my issue was one of three shipping issues that they've had with Amazon in the past week - one person even receiving their PDR mount in a plastic bag! With this sort of failure rate, PDR may consider beefing up its packaging or having Amazon overpack the boxes before reshipment.
One comment on my mounting experience with PDR. I went to attach the mounting arms to my Samsung LN52A550 LCD TV and found out that the 8mm x 40 screws were about 1/4" too long when screwed into the TV all the way (including the mounting arm and square bracket washer). The 8mm x 20's were too short to even use, so I tried the plastic spacers which put the arms out about an inch from the TV. I didn't want to add another inch to the profile and didn't want the extra moment arm length, so I went to my local hardware store and purchased some 8mm x 35mm screws and they worked perfectly to attach the arms flat against the TV. You may want to consider 35's instead of 40s for Samsungs. Otherwise the installation was effortless and I'm very happy with the quality construction of the product.
I'm also confident that based upon my recent experience with PDR, the rebate process will be resolved despite my missing product barcode.
