Summary: Very random
Comment: I was a little disappointed in this magazine. The pictures are nice, but the content seems very random. There are activities aimed at the very young (ie. same and different, color recognition) and then there are some complex concepts that can't hold a toddler's attention (ie. match the letter to the picture that starts with it). It is very short for a bi-monthly, and doesn't offer a lot of stories to read -- usually just one about that month's animal. My daughter does like the tear out animal cards in each issue.

Comment: My MIL got a subscription to this for my son and it is just adorable. As others have said, the content is great but it's very short. I am glad he gets it but I don't know If I would dish out $25 a year for it, but as long as she wants to get it for him, that's fine by me. :D

Actually, my son (age 4.5) uses it as a bathroom book. It's hilarious to see him sitting on the potty in deep thought while reading these. So for short sessions like that, they're great but don't expect them to entertain your child for any amount of time. It's also handy to keep 2 or 3 in the car (they're fairly sturdy) to look at in restaurants or dr. offices etc.

So, all in all cute but not completely worth the money IMO.

Comment: My children loved having a magazine geared toward their age and have read the first issue over and over. They are excited to tell us about the stories and what they learned. It is a great magazine to share with your children to teach them what school might miss. I highly recommend this for your little ones

Summary: Good, but not much to it
Comment: My daughter (3 1/2) really likes this magazine. As another reviewer said, the content is great. The only problem is, there's not enough of it. It's a small magazine, and it takes us about 20 minutes to go through it. It needs to either be meatier, or more frequent than every 2 months! Even with re-reading, it doesn't last very long before she's memorized the whole thing.

It is cheaper on the NG website, which is how I bought it, and I still question whether it will be worth $15 again this year. For $2.50 an issue, I'd like to see more of it! It offers something that Ladybug and Highlights High Five don't, with a focus on nature and science, but I expected more magazine for the money.

Comment: We got a subscription to this magazine as a gift for our 5 year-old son. I find it to be of high quality, with a good balance of games and educational articles, with very nice pictures. My only criticism is that it is too easy for our son, even though it is advertised as being designed for preschoolers. But I am making sure to save them for his little brother!
