They are tear shaped, rounded in the front, but FLAT in the back. This is interesting as the silver fleurs on the back show through adding interest. The earrings I purchased are a deeper red than pictured. Product shipped boxed, with Amazon jewelry care card (so, recipient will realize you got these online and not at a jewelry store).
