    Summary: Not worth the money!
    Comment: Horrible tripod. Not very secure on mount. Easily shifts or moves making it difficult to keep objects in focus or in view. Bought it for my daughter for Christmas and was extremely disappointed with its cheap plastic construction. I don't recommend you waste your money.

    Summary: Perfect For Our Purposes
    Comment: I purchsed this telescope for my parents to use at their lake home and the optical quality is fantastic, especially for an inexpensive, starter telescope. They've mostly used it to look at nature (eagles, etc.) and boats on the lake and they can get close enough to see what they are catching! Haven't used it to find stars yet, but Im sure it works great.
