Digipak. This is Jakob's first solo album which was produced by Rick Rubin at his home studio throughout 2007. With its direct, open production and moving themes, Seeing Things is the continuation of Rick's groundbreaking work and sheds new light on Jakob as a singer and songwriter. Jakob is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the rock band The Wallflowers as well as being the youngest of four children born to singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and ex-wife Sara Dylan.
Customer Rating: Summary: Tim Comment: I'm a big Jonny cash & Kris Kristofferson fan and I really like Jakbo Dlyan
Customer Rating: Summary: not dad but just as good Comment: very nice album. laid-back style. mellow sound (he has a sexier voice than dad, whose sound is more distinctive and folksy. love dad too). this album puts me in the mood to take a long drive home on a country road at dusk.
Customer Rating: Summary: Play this one all the way through Comment: The best albums are ones that may not necessarily have your favorite song on them, but are the ones you can listen to all the way through without skipping a track. While nothing on "Seeing Things" gives the immediate satisfaction of a song like "One Headlight", I took the time to play this album from beginning to end several times and it's a great project. Dylan's voice is the main instrument, and his lyrics are poignant. He is not a dynamic singer (compared to someone like Jason Mraz), but his voice is perfect for the songs he writes. Mellow throughout, and moving in many places. Throw this one on and let it play.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Album Comment: This album is very good. If you like the Wallflowers as a group, you will like this album. Some of his songs even remind me of his father's old music.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bravo! Comment: Hands down, my favorite album of the year in the Singer-Songwriter genre. Wonderful melodies and lyrics, great singing, great playing, wonderful minimalist production by Rick Rubin---a total gem of a CD! Plus I love every tune on the CD. Probably been about 30 years since that happened!
